About

I'm a comedian who writes, produces, edits and directs. I like make silly things, in a serious way.

Here's a more official sounding bio:

Evan Kaufman is an award winning comedian, writer, and director.  His show Your Love, Our Musical! has performed improvised musicals for over 100 happy couples, won a Best Acting Award at the NY International Fringe Festival, been featured on Bravo and was a Time Out NY and NY Times critics pick.

Evan has directed videos for NBC Sports, Above Average, and New Wave Entertainment. His commercial directing clients include Dunkin Donuts, Smirnoff Ice, Bank of America, and TIDE Pods. He has worked with commercial agencies Taylor Strategy and Hill Holiday. You can check out his directing reel here.

As a writer Evan is currently contributing to The Key of Awesome, writing musical parodies. Formerly he wrote sketches and social media content for YouTube's Official Comedy. In 2011 he won Break and Scripped Big Break Screenwriting Contest. You can check out his writing reel here.

As an actor Evan has appeared in a variety of short films and commercials. His acting highlights include appearing on Bravo's Million Dollar Listing, VH1's The Twenty and 2015 Year End Special and his back appearing in HBO's DIVORCE. You can check out his acting reel here.

His other recent projects include producing the award-winning short film Page One, creating the podcast The Paper Year with his wife about their first year of marriage, and performing with his improv group Gypsy Danger every Saturday night at The Peoples Improv Theater.

Evan is a proud alumnus of the Improv Asylum, where he performed on their Mainstage from 2010 to 2013. He is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston where he double majored in Writing and TV/Video production. He was cut from the Quidditch Team.
